A festival for sightseeing enthusiasts is coming known as the Long Night of the Museums held on Saturday, May 14. This year, for the first time, we also invite you to join us that night at theMuseum of Polish Children in Łódź. We will show you an unknown documentary about the camp and tell the dramatic fate of the small victims of the inhuman regime.

Seat of the Museum of Polish Children – victims of totalitarianism. The German Nazi camp for Polish children in Łódź (1942-1945) on 90 Piotrkowska Street in Łódź, Poland is still temporary, but our historians have prepared an interesting offer for visitors.

We will show you a documentary from 1972, unknown until recently, directed by Zbigniew Kamiński, entitled “Wizja lokalna” [Site visit] showing the shocking accounts of witnesses – former prisoners of the camp. There will also be a screening of a pseudo-documentary directed by Michał Floriańczyk, “Nauczono nas płakać bez łez...” [We were taught to cry without tears], as well as an animation aimed at younger viewers entitled “To było tu” [It was here] directed by Mateusz Winkiel.

After the screening, each group of visitors is invited to a lecture accompanying the presentation of the Museum’s outdoor exhibitions.
