Many of the Survivors still struggle with the trauma resulting from their experiences from the camp and need constant support. The Museum, responding to the expectations of these circles, initiated a series of meetings and consultations, which resulted in the establishment of the Association of Families of Former Prisoners of the Concentration Camp in Przemysłowa Street.
The aim of the Association is to support the activities of the Museum and to strengthen cooperation with the families of the youngest victims of totalitarianism as well as to cultivate the memory of the Survivors for future generations.
On February 5, 2022, participants of the founding meeting discussed the Association’s plans for the future and upcoming tasks. We are particularly pleased that three Survivors of the camp in Przemysłowa Street came to Łódź: Urszula Grenda, Henryka Kowalska-Śliwicka and Joanna Maciejewska-Piotrowska. Due to medical reasons, Marek Zakrzewski was unable to attend the meeting, however, he conveyed his support through a letter.
