back...Report from the first Long Night of the Museums
Bringing closer the dramatic fate of Polish children, victims of Nazi German crimes. These stories are frightening, but they need to be known so that they never happen again. During the Long Night of the Museums, we gave open public lectures accompanying the presentation of the Museum’s outdoor exhibitions, telling the story of Polish children from the camp on Przemysłowa Street.
During the lectures the following features were displayed:
* an unknown documentary film directed by Zbigniew Kamiński entitled “Wizja lokalna” [Site visit] (Polish Public Television, 1972), depicting the harrowing accounts of former camp inmates recorded during the trial of the camp officer Eugenia Pol,
* a pseudo-documentary directed by Michał Floriańczyk, “Nauczono nas płakać bez łez...” [We were taught to cry without tears] – the first film production of the Museum of Polish Children,
* an animation aimed at viewers of all ages entitled “To było tu” [It was here] written and directed by PWSFTviT lecturer Mateusz Winkiel.
